segNET's high-speed ATM end-to-end backbone is serviced
by an OC12 SONET Loop (655 Million bit per second self-healing fiber
optic service) and has over 250Mb aggregate upstream Internet connectivity
through more than a dozen carrier-diverse interconnection points.
Our backbone and upstream Internet carrier circuits-which include
direct transit with Qwest, Internaps, UUNET, ATT/CERF, Global Crossing, CWIS (Cable & Wireless USA), Genuity and Sprintlink-are presently running
at less than 20% capacity at peak times. segNET also has direct peering
transit agreements with many ISPs and organizations throughout New
England to pass traffic via private data links. Additionally, we are
one of three network access points for the New Hampshire Internet
Service Provider Association peering network.
Our SuperPOP locations in Portsmouth, NH, Manchester,
NH, Cambridge, MA, White River Junction, VT, and our new Network Operation
Center in West Lebanon, NH are all inter-connected via redundant high-speed
Fiber Optic ATM service, providing 4ms round-trip time from any of
our SuperPOP core routers to our upstream Internet carriers.
Our SuperPOPs, combined with our aggregate upstream
Internet connectivity and high-speed ATM backbone, deliver the largest
and most robust Internet bandwidth of any provider in northern New
England.
